Old-Fashioned Blackberry Cobbler | I Heart Recipes

This Old-Fashioned Blackberry Cobbler is probably one of my favorite cobbler recipes. It has a fluffy, cake-like crust that is to die for, and the blackberry filling is sweet and juicy. Simply heat blackberries, lemon juice, sugar, vanilla, and a thickening agent consisting of flour and water. Melt a stick of butter (yes, honey, a whole stick!) in a baking dish. Into the center of that, pour in your crust batter consisting of flour, sugar, baking powder, and milk. Top with the blackberry mixture and bake. So simple! Timestamps for Blackberry Cobbler recipe video: 0:14 - Add blackberries to a pan. 0:25 - Pour in water. 0:33 - Pour in lemon juice. 0:37 - Add in sugar. 0:45 - Pour in vanilla extract. 0:48 - Stir the ingredients. 0:50 - Bring to a boil. 1:00 - Add water and flour to a small bowl or cup. 1:05 - Whisk well. 1:12 - Pour the thickening agent into the cobbler mixture. 1:19 - Mix until well combined. 1:30 - Add a stick of butter to a bake dish. 1:45 - Add all-purpose flour to a mixing bowl. 1:52 - Pour in granulated sugar. 1:57 - Add baking powder. 2:01 - Whisk until well combined. 2:05 - Pour in milk. 2:10 - Whisk well. 2:17 - Pour the batter into the bake dish. 2:26 - Add the blackberry mixture. 2:43 - Bake until done. 2:54 - Dish out the cobbler. 3:08 - Top with a scoop of ice cream and enjoy!
