Greenfield Tap & Die - Facts About Taps and Tapping
This Greenfield Tap & Die Corporation film introduces the viewer to the engineering and proper use of the tools which make modern screw threads. Our world of machines and interchangeable parts would be impossible, without taps & dies. GTD, with The Jam Handy Organization, produced this film in the later months of 1952(with gratitude for the information provided by Jonathan Boschen), yet all of the presented technical information is still important for a modern machinist to understand. This colorful film is entertaining, technical, and presented in a manner which is easy to follow. This is a 16mm film restoration project from the Museum of Our Industrial Heritage, Greenfield, Massachusetts.
