I'm making one and hoping to work on breeding more super late varieties. I think the surface has just been scratched in terms of the possibilities with super late, high quality dessert apples. Some are a little over ripe,, some are not ripe yet, and others are perfect. It isn't always the best plan to leave apple hanging until they are ripe, but it's nice to have some tree ripened fruit for out of hand eating.
