Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor (PS3) Gameplay -No Commentary-

So after I beat the PC version of this game, I decided to buy the now infamous PS3 port to see if the game is as bad and unplayable as it's been made out to be. While yes, the game does have a myriad of technical issues (even after installing the 1gb patch for the game) and was also a sloppy port, I'm actually still enjoying the PS3 version just on the merit of the game design alone. I can deal with bad framerates, being a retro gamer who still plays early 3D era games, but yes, this game should have been better optimized to run on the PS3 and Xbox 360. There are other games on both systems that do similar things and have similar designs that look and run a whole lot better than this game. People can say that the Xbox 360 and PS3 were just too old to handle this game, but considering they handled other open world games like Assassin's Creed, GTA V, Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim, etc and etc at playable framerates (no without their own glitches here and there of course), Shadow of Mordor was just a sloppy port. It could have been better for both 7th gen consoles if the devs had just taken the time to optimize the game better. So, overall, yes, this is the worst playing port of the game: Bad framerate, lots of loading screens, and other visual glitches. That being said, however, I'm still having fun playing it. I wouldn't suggest anyone pick it up on purpose unless you're as curious about how bad the PS3 port is like I was, but if you find it for a couple of dollars, and can look past the technical issues, you can still find enjoyment in this game. Chances are, if you were a lowely PS3 owner who received this game on Christmas 2014, you probably played it and enjoyed it having not played other versions of the game. I would definitely suggest picking up something like Arkham City or and Assassin's Creed title over this game, but if you find it at a bargain, it's not the worst thing ever based on the merit of it's game design and gameplay alone.
