Recording on a Cylinder: "Buddy Bolden's Blues": Colin Hancock - cornet solo w/ piano acc

Here is a video of the process I go through to make an acoustic recording on a cylinder. I hope this video will get others interested in this science which is almost lost. It is not difficult to do this and it only requires a little time. This demonstration shows the results you can get. The playback just shows how authentic this process sounds and it not only sounded like a recording from 100+ years ago, it sounded like an original Edison or Columbia cylinder recording. Just watch as the sound waves from my cornet are carried through the horn to the recorder as it cuts them into the cylinder, transforming them into the most natural way of seeing them and hearing them. Enjoy the sounds that your grandparents, great grandparents, heck even Queen Victoria and President Theodore Roosevelt listened to. It's a lot of fun and worth a try!
