How to Make a Tessellation - Translation Style
My of my students find this style of tessellation to be easier to create because the stencil can be repeatedly traced in neat rows. To start, a stencil is made by cutting off one side of a square paper. The piece that students cut off is slid directly across the square to the other side then taped in place. This process is repeated with the remaining sides. Next, the stencil is traced repeatedly until the entire paper is covered at which point, students color their designs.
