Crossfaith is a ray of hope. This band continues to play music on a global scale from this small island nation. Perhaps I entrust my dreams to them. Despite being from the same generation, they continue to captivate audiences in America and Europe. Live venues are always captivating. "With a band like this, this country isn't worth giving up on." This feeling of admiration led me to a long-awaited interview delving into Crossfaith's roots. I met Koi-chan about seven years ago. In the entranceway of my house. We cooked mizutaki together. The groove was immediate. Once we discovered we were the same generation, it didn't take long for us to become best friends. From then on, I fell in love not only with her music, but also with her personality. We built Mini 4WDs together, impulsively bought a PlayStation 4 only to give up after realizing it would take 15 hours to download the software, played cards while drunk, and greeted her mother in the dressing room after a show...the memories are endless. Ultimately, he's a "seriously great guy." Even after spending so much time with him, I'd never actually heard about his past. That's why it was such a long-awaited conversation. His first encounter with music, the first CD he bought, meeting the band members, and the evolution of the band's name... It's rare to have a conversation that's so filled with smiles. I've grown to love Koi-chan and Crossfaith even more. But I feel like I've seen the root of why he's so loved, and why he's so kind. More than anything, I believe it's the counter-spirit he had as a child that produces such intense and heavy music. I hope this reaches people all over the world.
