Attracted by the attractive conditions, he applies for a full-time position at Manpuku Entertainment Production. However, during the interview, he is asked by the sharp-tongued female president, Fukuko Manda (Minako Tanaka), "Is that the kind of life you want?", which brings him to tears. Seeing this, manager Daisuke Yamanaka (Kohei Nakatsuka) becomes interested in Sanada for some reason, and Sanada joins the new project "Eternal Boys." "Eternal Boys" is a male idol group produced by Manpuku Entertainment Production, with all members being in their late 30s or early 40s. Former J-League player Yu Asai (Soichiro Sorihashi), former teacher Naoki Ishida (Yuta Suzuki), former child actor Tsuyoshi Imagawa (Ritsu Teruyama), number one host Makoto Kakizaki (Kei Hosogai), manager and member Daisuke Yamanaka, and former salaryman Kentaro Sanada. These six men, with vastly different ages and backgrounds, live together in a training camp, aiming to debut as idols. Sanada, with no prior experience in singing or dancing, and the other members, are no longer young. They sometimes complain about the rigorous training, and their pride and the opinions of others threaten to break them, but they desperately try to move forward in their own ways. The original work is a hugely popular anime that aired on Fuji TV and other networks in 2022. Following film, manga, and game adaptations, this marks its first live-action drama and stage adaptation.
