Hi, it’s Jiji! It always feels like it’s been forever… This one’s about a week where I put down all the guilt — around studying, being productive, doing the things I’m “supposed” to do — and just followed wherever my heart wanted to go. I went through something kind of shocking recently, and it hit me that I’d been running on autopilot for a while. The grad school prep, the studying, the running I kept up somewhere between routine and guilt — these all used to give me a real jolt of energy. But at some point I got too comfortable in that “state,” and doing the same familiar things over and over, I got frustrated by how little was actually changing. So… maybe life itself was what gave me the dopamine? (lol) Lately I’ve been looking inward instead of outward. Maybe because I’ve been used to pushing my emotions down since I was little, but I often don’t feel much, even after something happens — and there’s still a lot of resistance in me, trying to hunt down the “right” feeling. haha But this time I’m choosing not to rush. This isn’t a “problem” to fix. It’s just my life. It’s just me. And I want to focus on simply being with it — I have a feeling the answer to “my path” and “what I truly want” will follow on its own.
