Como navegar con VIENTO FUERTE⛵🌊. Velero a la francesa

Today we had a good, steady wind of about 15 knots, right at the limit where things start to get more complicated and problems arise, scares occur, and sailing becomes more uncomfortable because the sailboat starts to heel more. That's why what we have to do in these cases is, as always, adapt our sail setup to the wind conditions. One of the methods we really like, and with which we are all most comfortable, is to sail with only the headsail. Not raising the mainsail, not even reefing it, means the boat hardly heels at all and can withstand stronger winds. This way of sailing with only the headsail is called French sailing. But it's not all advantages. The downside, and the main problem, is that you lose a lot of upwind sailing ability, so you'll have to make more tacks and turns to reach your destination. But then, after the exercise, the return journey downwind becomes relaxed and calm. ⭐ Thank you for joining us on our voyages ⛵🌊 💕 VisMaris⛵
