She used her phone to record images and posted them on social media to warn neighbors, while also reporting the incident to the authorities. According to Ms. Nhan, the previous morning her mother was the first to see the crocodile surface before quickly diving back down. A few hours later, the animal thrashed violently, disturbing the pond's surface before hiding in the water spinach.
