Uganda/DRC Borders of Mpondwe and Bunagana in Western Uganda Being Upgraded to One stop Border Posts
The facilities funded by world bank to a tune of 18 Billion shillings is expected to boost intra-regional trade through enhanced customs administration. Bunagana and Mpondwe borders are the main border crossings between Uganda and the vast Democratic Republic of Congo. Enhanced efficiency and improved infrastructure at the border crossings will help in reducing the time taken to clear goods and handle transport cargo hence reducing the associated costs.
