THANKSGIVING SERVICE: Jane Mills-Gordon

Jane Mills-Gordon (Bella), 72, was born to Agatha Simms and Arnol Mills 07 January 1952 at Pennington district in Lluidas Vale Electoral Division, St Catherine. She had nine siblings - two of whom are still alive. Mills-Gordon attended Juan de-Bolas All Age School, which has been renamed Juan de-Bolas Primary. In addition to being a subsistence farmer, she, at one point, was employed as a coffee picker. Mills-Gordon had five children with her husband, Owen Gordon. The children, now all adults, are Gwendolyn Gordon (Cheeko), Monica Gordon, Marlene Gordon, Lydia Gordon (Gillion), as well as Michael Gordon (Tat) who died 10 years ago. Mills-Gordon, known for being caring and calm, fell ill and was taken to Linstead Public Hospital on March 29. She was discharged on Wednesday, April 03, but had a health scare while heading home. Her relatives rushed her back to the medical facility, where she died moments later. Though still struggling to come to terms with the passing of their beloved matriarch, Mills-Gordon's relatives are getting ready to lay her to rest at Lluidas Vale Cemetery on Sunday, May 19. That will follow a service of thanksgiving commencing 1PM at the Power In Prayer Ministry in Pleasant Hill district, Pennington. Mills-Gordon, surely, is sorely missed.
