About That Apology

Social accountability on the internet is messy because there are no universally accepted rules, referees, or institutions. Every community has its own standards, every platform has its own culture, and every creator has their own incentives. The audience isn't stupid. People know when an interview is weighted heavily in one person's favor. They know when difficult questions go unanswered. They know when a conversation functions more as image repair than genuine accountability. They don't need another creator or commentator to tell them what they watched or what they should think about it.
