Evangelio de hoy - Lunes, 15 de junio de 2026 - Mateo 5:38-42 - Biblia Católica
Welcome to our daily encounter with the Word of God! Today's readings invite us to reflect on justice, mercy, and trust in the Lord in the face of human injustice. In the First Reading (1 Kings 21:1-16), we see how greed, abuse of power, and lies can produce suffering and destruction when the heart turns away from God's ways. In the Gospel (Matthew 5:38-42), Jesus presents a radically different path, teaching his disciples to respond to evil not with revenge, but with generosity, patience, and love. Today's readings challenge us to abandon the desire for retribution and to trust in divine justice, cultivating a heart capable of forgiving, serving, and acting with kindness even in the face of difficulties. May the Word of God transform our attitudes and lead us to a life marked by truth, mercy, and fidelity to the Gospel. First Reading (1 Kings 21:1-16): This reading presents the story of Naboth, who refuses to sell the vineyard he inherited from His parents told King Ahab that Naboth had been taken to the vineyard. Disgusted, the king was saddened, but his wife Jezebel decided to act unjustly to achieve her goal. Through false accusations and abuse of power, Naboth was convicted and murdered, allowing Ahab to seize the vineyard. This story reveals the consequences of greed, corruption, and disregard for justice. At the same time, it reminds us that God sees all human actions and remains the defender of the innocent and the oppressed. Gospel (Matthew 5:38-42): In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus deepens his teaching on justice and presents a surprising response to evil. Instead of encouraging revenge or retaliation, he invites his followers to overcome evil with good, turning the other cheek, demonstrating generosity, and being willing to serve beyond what is required. The Lord does not promote passivity in the face of injustice but reveals a path of love that breaks the cycle of violence and manifests the transformative power of the Kingdom of God. His message calls us to cultivate a heart Free from resentment and open to mercy. These readings show us two opposing paths: the path of selfish ambition, which produces suffering and injustice, and the path taught by Christ, marked by generosity, forgiveness, and trust in God. May we reject all forms of injustice and live according to the Gospel, responding to evil with good and bearing witness to God's love in our daily actions. 📖 Readings for the day: First Reading: 1 Kings 21:1-16 Gospel: Matthew 5:38-42 🌟 Related Hashtags: #BibleReading #DailyReflection #WordOfGod #GospelOfTheDay #GodsJustice #ChristianForgiveness #SermonOnTheMount #ChristianLife #CatholicFaith #CatholicBible List of main keywords: BibleReading, Gospel of the Day, GodsJustice God, Christian Forgiveness, Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5, First Reading, Catholic Reflection, Christian Life, Word of God Join this channel and get benefits: / @bibliacatolica Follow us also on: TikTok: / bibliacatolicaonline Instagram: / bibliacatolica Telegram: https://t.me/bibliacatolicaonline WhatsApp: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va8o...
