Telling Strangers Someone’s Business

The plaintiff says she met the defendant on Facebook and they became friends. She says they were at a club one night and police cars swarmed her friend and he went to jail, but she still doesn’t know why. She’s suing him for stealing her coat. The defendant says the plaintiff is an alcoholic who once passed out drunk at dinner with a famous music producer. He’s countersuing for defamation and emotional distress.
