PARINIRVANA (Buddha’s Entering Final Nirvana)

During this ceremony, marking the cessation of all Karmic activity in the earthly or physical life of the Buddha, we come together as a community to honor Shakyamuni Buddha as he passes into supreme, perfect enlightenment. Through chanting, offerings, and prostration, we mark this day in our lives and practices as a community. Sunday assemblies are our most regular large gatherings. Most often it consists of seated meditation, chanting, a Dharma talk and time for the Sangha to connect with one another. 9:00 AM Zazen 10:00 AM Sutra Chanting and Zazen 10:45 AM Dharma Talk
