CERN Topoclustering on the Bendix G-15!
The Bendix G-15 is a near 70-year old computer that’s awesome, but really, what can 460 vacuum tubes and 3,400 diodes actually do? Well, it’s a general purpose computer, so it can do anything you want. To prove that point, let’s hook up with some very smart people from CERN who work on the ATLAS experiment on the Large Hadron Collider, and run a brand new algorithm on 70-year old hardware! Massive thank you to System Source for the opportunity to work on this machine: https://museum.syssrc.com/ This video would not have been possible without the help of Dr. Allison Deiana: https://www.physics.smu.edu/adeiana/ Lloyd Hasley: Retired!
