Pirate Ship - Wicksteed Park - 4K

Here is a tribute video of one of my favourite childhood rides. The Pirate Ship at Wicksteed Park opened in 1982, it was closed and removed at the end of the 2016 season. replaced by Wave Rider, a chair swing ride. I used to ride this a lot as a child until 2016 when it was closed and removed from the park due to high maintenance costs. Charles Wicksteed invented the slide and Wicksteed have been manufacturing playground equipment since 1918. The company still makes playground equipment to this day.
