Locality Review: Kothanur, Bengaluru

Kothanur is one of the developing localities in north Bengaluru that has caught the attention of real estate investors in recent years and connectivity is one of the major reasons for it. The locality is bordered by Thanisandra Main Road to its left and the New Airport Road to its right. Hennur, Hegde Nagar, HBR Layout, Bagalur, Horamavu and Kammanahalli are some of the prominent areas in north Bengaluru that are easily accessible from Kothanur. Kothanur mainly offers plots for real estate buyers but you can also see many multistorey constructions, villas and gated communities here. This is mainly due to Kothanur’s proximity to some of the major IT hubs of the north like the Manyata Embassy Business Park and the Kirloskar Tech Park which are around 6 to 10 kilometers away. Also, many I.T. companies like Oracle, Honeywell, Accenture and IBM have their offices in Kothanur. Royal Academy Public School and Kristu Jayanti College are some of the prominent educational institutions present within the locality. However, for good hospitals, one needs to travel around 9 to 10 kilometers. Bangalore Baptist hospital on Bellary Road and the Columbia Asia Hospital in Hebbal are some of them to be named. While the retail infrastructure in Kothanur is well-established across a few well-populated pockets, it’s yet to develop in a few localities along the interiors.
