Question: As a Hongik Ingan standing at the starting line of my 40s, I would like to ask about the future direction for resuming my social activities. Respected Master, I married at the age of 30, and three years later, through divine blessing, I encountered the study of the Right Dharma and entered my 40s. After beginning the study of the Right Dharma, I also engaged in social studies; however, my career ended after three years. Although I intended to continue my social activities, I continued to face circumstances that required me to further improve myself. Only now, through your teachings of truth, have I come to appreciate what I possess and understand the environment I have created, and I am feeling grateful for the life I have been given. I sincerely bow my head to express my gratitude to you, Master. Master, as I correct my past complaints and mistakes, I am now experiencing an environment conducive to study. This year, opportunities for activity are gradually opening up, ranging from attending your Dharma talks to practicing Hongik Taekwondo. At this juncture, as I prepare to resume my social activities, I would like to ask for your proper guidance on what activities I, as an intellectual in my 40s, can undertake in order to move forward joyfully and without greed.
