Xiaolai (稍來山, 2307m) can be hiked along with the more famous Mt Yuanzui (鳶嘴山). However, I decided to do it solo and add a twist by doing the second half of the hike on my Brommy. Then I descended into Dongshi for a culinary surprise. It is an extremely popular hike and this area is very crowded at the weekend so it’s best to climb during the week if possible. If you can’t not, then I would suggest arriving as early as possible as parking is problematic. As far as I know there is no public transport available.
