Processing Electronic Drums Is Not As Complicated As You Think
This is just a basic intro to the art of mixing drums. Particularly electronic drums. Most of these things actually apply to acoustic drums as well. But those are a bit more involved I would say. But most of the same principles would apply. The thing that's great about sampled drums is.. they are already pretty much engineered to sound good out of the box. So trying to individually process them is a bit of a futile venture. I mean, instead of doing that, why wouldn't you just select a different sample or something that is closer to what you want instead of trying to jam a square peg into a round hole? I don't know it seems like a bit of a waste of time to me. I will be diving deep into each of the main processing topics, like EQ and compression and whatnot in future installments. They will get their own videos. I also have some other special topics in mind. I wanna do a video where I record my own samples, for instance. Drum machines. Synthesizers. Other keywords. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. CHAPTERS 0:00 Intro 2:16 Layering 3:16 Signal Flow 7:00 Think Like a Mix Engineer Patreon / theartistcurrentlyknownaszero
