In this video, I share the veterinary examination of a sweet black stray cat who was found outside and brought to our clinic to be adopted. During the stray cat adoption process, it is very important to approach animals with patience and care, especially when they have never lived in a home or closed space before. With this lovely girl, possibly named Bitter, we go through a general health check, ear and eye examination, parasite evaluation, and an age estimate. At first, I was considering spaying her after the examination, but when I noticed the size of her belly, we decided to take an X-ray. The result surprised all of us: she is a pregnant cat and will soon become a mother. Cat pregnancy, kitten care, and providing a safe environment for birth suddenly became the most important parts of her story. She also reminds us that black cats, despite old superstitions, can be incredibly calm, affectionate, and loving. This story shows why animal rescue and adopting stray cats are so valuable. Instead of buying from pet shops or breeding farms, giving a street animal a home, planning proper veterinary care, and spaying or neutering at the right time can help prevent uncontrolled reproduction and protect animal health.
