Durango & SIlverton: Summertime in the San Juans (August 10th-12th, 2025)

After spending time in Georgetown and Golden, Colorado, I made my way to Durango, Colorado, to see the famed Durango and Silverton Railroad. I would spend three days there. During my time there, I saw four operational steam engines. All three days featured a doubleheader to Silverton. K-28 476 would be leading all three days, and K-37 493 would be the helper for the first two days, while K-36 480 would be the helper on the third day. I also witnessed K-36 482 pulling the final two Cascade Canyon trips for the summer, as well as pulling a special charter train. In addition to the steam engines, this video also includes several shots of the Diesel train to Silverton. Enjoy the footage I captured during those fantastic three days!
