Silverrudder

Some video from the race "Silverrudder" in Denmark. This race takes place every year around equinox in the fall. The race is a single-hand race where the skipper has to circumnavigate the island of Funen (Fyn). The race has grown very much in popularity since it started in 2012 with 15 participants. Today the race is limiting the number of participants to 450 and the tickets sell out quickly when the sale opens in the spring. The race is not so much about winning but more about finishing altho there are some who show up to win. During the preparations for this race Svendborg is the place to go if you're interested in seeing some unique sailboats.
