I've been using this soil mix for years with great success. I plant all of my fruit trees in it, including avocado, mango, guava, citrus and more. I think it captures all of the critical elements that fruit trees need to thrive in containers. It provides excellent drainage and air flow to the tree's roots, while maintaining great water retention and acidic conditions that most tropical and subtropical trees like.
