Arte y salud: La mirada de una payasa de hospital | Magali Sanchez | TEDxMarDelPlata

Some of us are afraid of clowns as children, and as adults, that fear is transferred to illness and death. Paradoxically, many people dress as clowns to help others forget that deep-seated fear of ceasing to be. Magali Sanchez, as part of the NGO Los Payas (The Clowns), shows us the details of the work of a hospital clown and what it's like to bring laughter to such delicate situations as those experienced in these places. You will laugh and cry, and surely, at least for a while, you won't be afraid of clowns or death anymore. A health worker who works as a hospital clown. With her clown persona, Lola Castaña, she has been contributing for over six years to transforming the hospital reality of hospitalized children, their families, and healthcare staff in a more loving, fun, and creative way. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
