Rare Bird Alert! Spotted Sandpiper & Norfolk/Suffolk Birding Road Trip

A rare American visitor kicks off our latest birding road trip! Starting in Warwickshire, we head out in search of a Spotted Sandpiper, a species neither of us has ever seen before. On arrival, the bird is nowhere to be found, but after a tense wait it finally appears and gives us some incredible views. With one lifer in the bag, we continue our journey east through Norfolk and Suffolk during an intense summer heatwave. Over the next few days we search for a long list of target species including Hobby, Stone Curlew, Woodlark, Nightingale, Roseate Tern, Nightjar and Dartford Warbler. Along the way we encounter some fantastic wildlife, stunning landscapes and a few unexpected surprises that make this road trip one to remember. Join us for Part 1 of this exciting birding adventure!
