The Cuban Pianist set the tone to such an extent that it seems well worth renaming landmarks in his honor. He is a formidable arranger. He creates bird song with the flute, an almost foreseeable evocation of nature that then plunges us abruptly into the rhythm, bringing the audience back to an animated and hectic city-like environment. Here, the soundscape is transformed in three notes, with a Cuban-style key slipped in between two Caribbean rhythms. The music in constant motion, continually transforming, connecting continents from one culture to another. The public really responds to his voice, following his injunctions: "the Cuban clave is the backbone of Afro-Cuban music: one, two, one, two, three." His identity is based on his universe, where he generously invites audiences to join him.
