If I Fell – The Beatles Cover | Vocal Harmony & All Instruments

I tried to do a faithful cover of “If I Fell” by The Beatles, aiming to capture the tone, emotion, and vocal blend of the original recording. The arrangement focuses on recreating the song’s signature vocal harmonies. I doubled the vocals, as in the original. Furthermore, I tried to get the tone of the 12-string Rickenbacker by using a pedal effect and a dreamy reverb. I used some tape-delay on the vocals to create the nostalgic Abbey Road vocal recording. The original vocals were also sung on one microphone, so I recorded it on the same mic as well, despite not having a twin brother, so obviously I had to record it twice. Any road… I always think the vocals blend hauntingly beautiful together. I tried to sing the Lennon part a bit more in the back of the throat and Paul’s a bit more melodic and head voicy. I hope you like how I turned out. Cheers!
