My First Computer Project: A Dell Optiplex 7040 SFF turned into a Budget PC
I turned my stock Dell Optiplex 7040 SFF into a budget gaming pc that can run 120 FPS. I installed a graphics card, 1TB ssd, CPU cooler, and a NIC. The PC already had 16gb ram so I left that as is. I forgot to mention that I entered the PC's BIOS to turn the fan speed on max. Although I said that I may install a new CPU and RAM, I have decided that I will not be doing that because of the poor cooling system and overall aesthetic. If I am going to be upgrading big parts like that, I will want the project to both be good mechanically and aesthetically. The final cost for all the new parts was $292. Don't mind me and my brother's messy rooms... #computer #delloptiplex #budgetpc #gaming #diy
