Mordche is a colorful figure who wears a lot of hats. He is a gabbai, an English teacher, a longtime askan, a Rosh Hamadrichim in the summer, and a leader in Lev Layeled’s Monsey branch, an organization that gives children from divorced homes a place of warmth, strength, and connection during some of the hardest parts of their young lives. We speak about the behind-the-scenes of the Shiner Shul, the responsibility of serving the public, the sensitivity needed when dealing with people, the work of Lev Layeled, chinuch, children, community, and what it means to quietly carry many different roles for Klal Yisroel.
