This Club Solved a Problem Most of Us Never Fix

Things for your layout: 🔗Big Boy Loco: https://geni.us/NzdsA3 N scale 🔗BNSF GP40 w/ DCC Sound: https://geni.us/nWd58 N scale 🔗CSX GP40 w/ DCC Sound: https://geni.us/vPMKcI N scale 🔗Union Pacific GP40 w/ DCC Sound: https://geni.us/lwf5BdY N scale I went to this train show expecting to enjoy the layouts and maybe steal a few ideas. What I didn’t expect was to leave rethinking my whole approach to my own railroad. The biggest surprise of the day was a modular model railroad built from 2 foot square sections, each one detailed, finished, and designed to connect with the next. It was one of the best model train layouts I saw at the show, and it made me think hard about why so many layouts (including mine) never really feel finished. Along the way, I check out some great scenery work, a Z scale layout built inside an old steamer trunk, model contest entries, and vintage Model Railroader magazines with prices from 1979 that are honestly painful to look at now. If you’ve ever kept adding to your railroad without closing the loop on what you already started, this one will probably hit home.
