The construction of APM Terminals MedPort Tangier

On a 60-hectare site in the port of Tangier, Willemen Groep was responsible from start to finish for the construction of a container terminal with a quay length of 1.2 km and all associated buildings. The terminal has the latest cargo handling technology to meet the needs of large vessels. Twelve remotely controlled STS double trolley cranes - the largest in the world - are responsible for loading and unloading ships with at least 22,000 containers on board. APM Terminals MedPort Tangier has a capacity of 3.3 million teu per year and is one of the most technically advanced terminals in the world.
