Many people believe that following God means living a life of prohibitions, renunciations, and sadness. However, the Gospel shows us the complete opposite: God created us for happiness. Not for a fleeting happiness that depends on material things or circumstances, but for a profound joy that comes from living in his love. Jesus himself said, “I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete” (John 15:11). The Lord does not want a life devoid of joy; he wants a heart full of peace, hope, and love. Sometimes we seek happiness far from God, thinking that money, power, pleasures, or recognition will fill our hearts. But sooner or later, we discover that all of that is fleeting. Only God can satisfy the deepest longing of the soul. Being happy according to the Gospel does not mean not having problems. The saints also suffered, but they found a joy that no one could take from them because they knew they were walking hand in hand with the Lord. Today, ask yourself: Am I looking for happiness where it is truly found? If you open your heart to God, you will discover that He didn't come to take away your joy, but to give you a happiness that remains even in the midst of difficulties. Let us never forget this truth: God doesn't want us to be sad; God wants us to be holy, and in holiness lies true happiness. Subscribe to this channel and share it with others.
