Day 2 of our NIT Rourkela journey and the final day of Innov-a-thon 2025! The vlog begins with a peaceful morning at the beautiful NIT Rourkela campus, surrounded by greenery, fresh air, and a stunning sunrise. After spending some relaxing time near the LA Complex gardens, we returned to our hacking space for the final round of the hackathon. Once Round 2 ended, all teams were asked to vacate the hall while the judges shortlisted the Top 10 teams for the final presentation. We then headed to Green Garden Cafeteria for lunch, where I finally enjoyed delicious pure vegetarian food without onion and garlic at a very affordable price. Just after lunch, we received the most exciting news—our team Rudraksh had secured Rank 1 in the Top 10 shortlist! The celebration didn't last long because we had only a few minutes left to reach FTBI for the final presentation. We borrowed bicycles, rushed back to the hostel, changed into formal suits, and somehow made it to the presentation (although we were still late 😅). Our final presentation went really well, and the moment we had been waiting for finally arrived… 🏆 Team Rudraksh won 1st Prize at Innov-a-thon 2025 with a cash prize of ₹25,000! Adding to the celebrations, Team Jeeva from OUTR secured 2nd Prize, making it a proud day for our university as OUTR grabbed both the top positions at NIT Rourkela. After the felicitation ceremony, prize distribution, and lots of memorable photos, we packed our luggage and explored the beautiful campus one last time before heading to Sector-2 Bus Stand. The journey back home became even more special because it was my first-ever ride on a Volvo 9600S sleeper bus (Jagannath Express). We reached Bhubaneswar early in the morning, and the vlog ended with another beautiful sunrise as I walked back home.
