You can come and live as a tourist, constantly renewing your tourist visa, or you can come under a truly amazing program called Malaysia My Second Home. This program allows you to obtain residency status, find a job, start a business, open a bank account, buy a house, a car, and get a loan on very simple, preferential terms. You can even bring your own car, if it's advantageous, of course, and pay no taxes. This country allows you, like I did back in 2007 and 2008, to survive these difficult times.
