Al Jazeera's correspondent in Tehran, Adnan Bourini, explained that the latest message from Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei carried both internal and external implications; Domestically, he called on officials to avoid disputes to prevent public frustration, which serves the enemy's interests. Externally, he pointed to the hegemonic system's efforts to weaken Iran and safeguard Israel's security. Bourini added that Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed the continuation of negotiations and Tehran's ongoing work to formulate its response to the American observations regarding the memorandum of understanding. He also noted Tehran's readiness for a scenario where no agreement is reached, given its concerns about the lack of genuine guarantees. The correspondent reported that Tehran stipulated a comprehensive ceasefire in Lebanon as a fundamental prerequisite for signing any agreement.
