He was a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero. Eight years after the Final War, Katsuki has graduated from U.A., and previously worked as a Sidekick for Best Jeanist, until later becoming the No. 5 (previously No. 4 and No. 15) Pro Hero with an insatiable appetite for crushing his foes.[6][7][3] My Hero Academia (僕ぼくのヒーローアカデミア Boku no Hīrō Akademia?) is a manga series serialized by Shonen Jump and written by Kohei Horikoshi. The series has been adapted into an anime series and three movies, as well as spawning the prequel series Vigilantes and spinoffs: School Briefs and Team-Up Missions. The story is set in the modern-day, except people with special powers called "Quirks" have become commonplace throughout the world. In a world of chaos and confusion, Pro Heroes have now risen as the new profession to fight off powerful super villains. A young boy named Izuku Midoriya is Quirkless, meaning he has no powers, but he still dreams of becoming a great hero one day. My Hero Academia: You're Next (僕のヒーローアカデミア THE MOVIE ユア ネクスト Boku no Hīrō Akademia Za Mūbī Yuā Nekusuto?) is a 2024 animated film and the fourth movie in the My Hero Academia series. The movie was officially revealed in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 36-37, 2023 on August 7th, 2023. Its title was announced on January 29th, 2024, and premiered on August 2nd, 2024 in Japan.[3][4] It was released in North America on October 11th, 2024. The eighth and final season of the My Hero Academia anime television series, also known as My Hero Academia: Final Season, is produced by Bones Film and directed by Kenji Nagasaki (chief director) and Naomi Nakayama,[1][2] following the story of Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga series of the same name from the beginning of the 40th volume through the end of the 42nd volume (chapters 399–431). In July 2025, Horikoshi was confirmed to being heavily involved in the production, and would provide the new original scenes that were not included in the manga.[3] The eighth and final season premiered on October 4, 2025.[4] The series finale is scheduled to premiere on December 13 of the same year, concluding the season with a total of 11 episodes.[5] The season begins from where the previous seventh season left off and follows the remaining final battles between the Heroes and Villains including Izuku Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki, and All Might and All For One as the fate of the world hanging in the balance. With both sides pushing themselves to the limits, Izuku is determined to save the world and become the greatest hero while depicting the future of hero society and characters' lives. © WE BLESSED FOREVER ENTERTAINMENT, LLC. ℗ WE BLESSED FOREVER ENTERTAINMENT, LLC.
