Summoning - The Darkening Of Valinor

Today is the day! Finally, after all these years, my animated Summoning video is done! I know some of you might be disappointed with the choice of the song, but it is what it is. This is definitely not the favorite song of the majority of Summoning fans, including me, but I still like it a lot. It is really powerful and majestic in its own way (and it's short enough for this kind of video :). Anyway, it's been almost five f.... years since I started working on this project (Summoning is faster than me :). Long time indeed, but honestly in the last two and a half years I've put literally zero work in the video until recently. The main reason was the very tiring process of redrawing and adjusting the images with the mouse only. The other reason was the lack of suitable images in the context of this whole darkening of Valinor storyline. However, last year I bought Wacom Cintiq 24HD graphic tablet and have been doing digital drawing for some time now. So, at the beginning of this year I was thinking about what should I draw next when this video came again on my mind. The spark has been lit once more and I started drawing my own images (Carcharoth (the great wolf), Gothmog (lord of Balrogs), snowy landscape in the last scene), as well as redrawing some interesting ones I've found on the net in the past two years. As you can guess, it was a lot easier job with graphic tablet. Actually, the last five scenes are made this year, which speaks a lot about productivity. So, in a way, this video itself basically represents a picture of my learning curve in animation and digital drawing - the first scenes have been made first, the last scenes are the newest. Hope you'll like it, if not, well, at least you could appreciate my hard unpaid work :) Enjoy!
