Power Tools: How to put up a shelf

Mother and daughter DIY team Helen and Helen demonstrate how to put up a shelf. They show you all the tools and components you'll need to do the job, then they talk you through how to place the brackets, drill into the wall, all the way through to making sure the shelf is level. Working together, they show how it's always helpful and more fun to have a spare pair of hands. You can use the same principle to put up a towel rail, a pan rack or a picture frame. WHAT IS POWER TOOLS? Power Tools is a series of household DIY videos made by women, for women. These fun, approachable and concise videos give instructions on basic DIY tasks like changing a lightbulb, smashing a window, painting a wall and using a drill.
