Hello and Welcome to Deaf Talks News! The Railway Board has officially approved India's first built hydrogen fuel train. This means India joins an elite group of countries in the world. Let us explain everything simply. What is this hydrogen train? This is a completely Made in India train. It does not use diesel like normal trains. It uses hydrogen fuel technology instead. With this approval India joins the elite list of countries like Germany, Japan, China and America who have hydrogen train technology. How does this train work? Normal diesel trains release black smoke and harmful toxic gases into the air. But this hydrogen train works completely differently. Hydrogen gas and oxygen gas combine through a chemical reaction inside the train. This chemical reaction produces electricity to run the train. Instead of black smoke this train releases only clean vapour as its by-product. Pure steam. No pollution. No harmful gases. What is the speed and route? This green train will first operate under the Northern Railway zone. It will run on the Jind to Sonipat route in Haryana state. The train will run at a maximum speed of 75 kilometres per hour. It will have a total of 10 coaches connected together. What about fuel and safety arrangements? A special hydrogen storage and refuelling station has been built specifically for this train in the Jind area of Haryana.
