Bootszeit: Von Berlin ans Mittelmeer - Teil 5 - Von Mainz zum Rhein Rhone Kanal

Boating time – our break on the boat: We travel by motorboat from Werder an der Havel near Berlin to the Mediterranean Sea near Marseille. Covering almost 2,000 kilometres, passing through around 160 locks and gathering countless impressions on and off the water, we recount our experiences on the road in 11 parts. Our journey first takes us along the Havel, the Mittelland Canal, the Dortmund-Ems Canal and the Rhine-Herne Canal to the Rhine. We continue southwards along the Lower Rhine, through the Middle Rhine Valley and then on to the Upper Rhine. Shortly before the Swiss border, we turn into the Rhine-Rhône Canal, which takes us to the Saône. This eventually flows into the Rhône, which takes us via the Rhône Delta to the Mediterranean Sea – around 40 kilometres from Marseille.
