For Malaysian media professional Liao Yufei, media is more than just a job; it's a way to understand the world and care about society. She has worked in news and content production for many years. Majoring in mass communication in university, Yufei joined a television station as a reporter and anchor, spending her time covering news, conducting interviews, and focusing on social issues and personal stories. Her career spans traditional and online media, and she has also worked as a content producer, documenting different generations and social landscapes through interviews. During the 2018 Malaysian general election, she temporarily left her media work to participate in the political arena. For many years, she has continued to interview and write, documenting the life stories of individuals, and finding her own place in the media landscape across different cities and roles. "Who Will Be the Guest" tells stories for the world.
