Darul-ilm Chatham In this lesson we learn the last rule of the madd al-asli, which is a kasrah letter being stretched by a yaa saakin. The 3 al madd al-asli rules are: 1) When there is an alif after a fat-ha letter 2) When there is a waw saakin after a dammah letter 3) When there is a yaa saakin after a kasrah letter In all three cases, the letter will be stretched. The student must understand and memorise this rule.
