Here are the 4 lies we're talking about today (do you recognize any of them?): 1️⃣ "I'll finish a round and go to bed!" ⏰The most dangerous lie in the world! You tell yourself it's almost time, then you want to see how the design turns out, then you want to finish the ball of yarn... and it's 3:00 in the morning with tired eyes. 💡 Tip: Set an alarm or timer on your phone. When it rings, put down your crochet hook even if you're halfway through. Eye and back health come first! 2️⃣ "I swear I won't buy yarn anymore... I already have so much!" 🛍️ Your closet is bursting at the seams, the boxes won't close anymore, but then you see that gorgeous color or that online deal and your cart fills up on its own. And the next day the courier arrives! 💡 Tip: Stash-busting. Before buying, look at what you already have at home and force yourself to find a project to use up the old yarn. Challenge yourself to empty a box before placing a new order! 3️⃣ "I'll finish this project in a weekend!" 🗓️ You start Friday night feeling super excited and confident you'll finish that sweater or shawl by Sunday evening. Then real life gets in the way, and a month later you're still there. 💡 Tip: Plan with real micro-goals. Instead of giving yourself huge deadlines, set a goal of knitting 5 or 10 times a day. You'll avoid anxiety and frustration. 4️⃣ "I'm making this as a gift for a friend..." 🤫You work for hours, put your heart and soul into it, see the end result... and it's so beautiful you decide to keep it in your closet! 💡 Tip: When buying yarn as a gift, choose it with the recipient's tastes, size, and favorite colors in mind (even if you don't like it yourself). If you really like the project, plan to make two copies from the start!
