Aluminium Capsule Form Hyper sensitive Gramophone Pickup 1940's

Difficult to tell if this very stylish looking pickup is the work of an Enthusiast with an excellent working knowledge of Engineering or whether it's a Prototype of some sort as it bears many marking-out scribed lines on all the components. It shares some design features of the Goldring Model 121 Light Weight Pickup of the 1940's.. Recently rebuilt with a new Sapphire needle holder to take ACOS GP33's or the Miniature Sapphires produced by H.M.V for their own Hyper sensitive Pickup of 1938.
