We tested the new BMW iX on Bavarian roads, BMW's third 100% electric model and the brand's new flagship in terms of electric propulsion. In fact, BMW describes the iX as a technological demonstrator, anticipating the future of the i brand. At 4.96 meters long, 1.96 meters wide, and 1.69 meters high, the BMW iX is a large SUV, comparable to models like an Audi e-tron Sportback or even a Tesla Model X (although the latter is considerably longer and can seat up to seven). It will be available from November 2021 in two versions, called the BMW iX xDrive40 and BMW iX xDrive50, which differ in both battery capacity (71 vs. 105.2 kWh net) and maximum power (326 vs. 523 hp) and performance. The starting price of the BMW iX xDrive40 is €85,150, while the BMW iX xDrive50 starts at €104,150.
