Tyler Robinson Defense Rips Into FBI Analyst Over DNA Evidence

Tyler Robinson’s defense team questioned FBI DNA analyst Amanda Bakker over evidence prosecutors say links Robinson to the suspected murder weapon, a rifle found wrapped inside a towel near the scene where Charlie Kirk was shot. During the preliminary hearing, defense attorney Michael Burt challenged the reliability of the DNA testing and Bakker’s conclusions, arguing the evidence does not prove Robinson was connected to the questioned samples. “She can’t match Mr. Robinson to the questioned samples,” Burt said. Robinson’s attorneys are expected to continue challenging the DNA evidence as week-long hearing continues, while prosecutors argue the reliability and interpretation of the testing can be fully addressed if the case goes to trial.
